Retirement Plans

At Fortune 360 Group, we work with a wide range of closely held businesses. Whether they have 50 or 500 employees, many companies face similar concerns regarding their retirement plans, such as time, costs, liability, and fiduciary responsibility.

Have you discussed these questions with your current advisor:

  • Does your current advisor act as a Fiduciary to your plan? If not, why not?
  • Is all revenue sharing generated by your plan’s investments utilized to offset fees or allocated back to participants?
  • Do any of the funds in your plan include revenue sharing?
  • In the past year, have you reviewed the performance and fees of your 401(k) investment options?
  • Do you know if your plan is using the lowest-cost share classes?

We seek to solve these problems by delivering Fortune 500 service – dynamic solutions, comprehensive consulting, and business value to companies.

As an independent firm, we have access to a broad array of investment vehicles, the latest research, and complete fiduciary review to assist a company with its retirement plan needs. By serving as an investment advisor, we offer objective advice on how to structure a competitive retirement plan that aligns with your business goals and cost parameters, while staying ahead of the curve on regulatory concerns.

Plan Level Services

We are here for you beyond the basics of your company’s retirement plan. To help you feel confident with your plan and minimize the amount of work you have to do, we offer a number of plan level services designed to help you reduce your fiduciary liability, optimize company retirement plan contributions to achieve your objectives, and evaluate your plan service providers.

Fiduciary Support & Protection

Liability is a significant concern for many business owners. Plan sponsors often struggle to address the challenges of regulatory and ERISA compliance, manage fiduciary risk, and adequately prepare participants for retirement. This is often because they lack the time and tools needed to fulfill their fiduciary responsibilities. Having an advisor with the capabilities to be a fiduciary on your plan is paramount. Your protection is at the foundation of all our consulting efforts. We assist plan sponsors with fiduciary risk management strategies, ensuring their understanding & documentation of, and compliance with fiduciary-related activities and ever-changing regulations. We can serve as either an ERISA 3(21) or ERISA 3(38) fiduciary.

Investment Selection and Monitoring

Fortune 360 Group works with Fiduciary Analytics and The Firm Reports to assist in the review and monitoring of investment options in your plan, a serious fiduciary responsibility. Fiduciary investment reviews are held to monitor investments and document compliance. In addition, Fortune 360 Group provides quarterly investment perspectives that discuss market events, investment results, and our market outlook. These are made available to employers and plan participants.

Plan Design

Simply stated, some employees struggle to act in their own best interests even when they know it could improve their financial future. Fortune 360’s plan design strategies help drive employee participation and engagement.

Plan Benchmarking and Vendor Selection

It’s important that you feel comfortable with the cost of your plan’s investments, record-keeping, and administration. To evaluate the competitiveness of your plan and other options available, we regularly conduct independent cost benchmarking and due diligence market analysis. This allows us to leverage a potential cost reduction for you from your service providers.

Fortune 360 Group benchmarks plans; evaluating fees, returns, and employee & employer contributions compared to peers in your specific industry. Fortune 360 may simply negotiate lower fees, enhance services or improve investment flexibility with your current vendor, or perhaps lead you through a search and transition process.

This proprietary plan review process is designed to help plan sponsors eliminate the confusion and frustration of selecting a plan provider, and dramatically reduces the amount of time you must allocate to the evaluation of new plan providers. Through our benchmark review, we can determine if your plan needs to be updated, or if your plan is on track in meeting fiduciary obligations.

Participant Education

An effective participant education program will be critical to help you comply with 404(c) guidelines. This education program is equally important to provide participants adequate information to assist them in making investment decisions consistent with their personal objectives, needs, and circumstances. Fortune 360 helps participants understand how to manage the emotions behind their fears, which gives participants a better shot at reaching retirement readiness and financial wellness.

We take a highly personal approach to plan participant education. We believe a successful participant education and communication program that includes one-on-one advice and ongoing guidance is critical to the success of your retirement plan. Working closely with your retirement plan committee, we create a personalized program tailored to your particular employee population, which may include on-site meetings, video or web-based meetings, and participant-focused communications on a variety of financial topics.
